CTE Flexible Classroom
10/10/2013 12:00PM - 1:00PM
A handful of U.S. universities have established Offices of Academic Integrity to address the growing challenges on campus. Bertram Gallant will describe the structure and responsibilities of UC San Diego's Office of Integrity, how the office collaborates with other campus units, and how the office effectively addresses academic integrity issues with international students in particular. Bertram Gallant is author of Academic Integrity in the Twenty-First Century: A Teaching and Learning Imperative (Wiley’s Jossey-Bass, 2008), co-author (with Stephen Davis & Patrick Drinan) of Cheating in School: What We Know and What We Can Do (Wiley-Blackwell, 2009), and editor of Creating the Ethical Academy: A Systems Approach to Understanding Misconduct & Empowering Change in Higher Education (Routledge, 2011).
